Alberta Legislature Grounds in Winter

Alberta Legislative Grounds light up in December to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Every year a tall Christmas Tree is erected in front of the legislature building. The lawn bowling fields behind the building are transformed into free outdoor skating rinks. I took the following photos on New Year’s Day. :D

The skating rink on the south grounds of the Alberta Legislature is open for you to enjoy every day from 10 am to 10 pm; weather dependent.
