One of the most anticipated New Year celebration at Grande Prairie Muskoseepi Park is the New Year’s Eve fireworks show, in addition to free public outdoor skating, downhill toboggan, and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Besides fireworks, New Year’s Eve celebration also includes free public outdoor skating by Muskoseepi Park Pavilion, downhill toboggan, Christmas lights display at GP Pioneer Museum of Heritage Village, horse-drawn sleigh rides, etc. The following photos were taken at Grande Prairie St Joseph Roman Catholic Church on New Year’s Eve of 2011 to welcome new year of 2012—the Year of Dragon!!! :D
