January 10, 2012: Star gazing at Muskoseepi Park Centre 2000 at a winter night :D Exif DataCamera: Nikon D7000 16.2MP DX Digital SLR A coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth’s magnetic field on January 22, 2012 (Chinese New Year’s Eve), resulting in glowing auroras dancing over the County of Spirit River. The following photos were taken nearby the village Rycroft, located 7 km east of Spirit River and 68 km north of the city of Grande Prairie. 
January 22, 2012: Northern Lights display on Chinese New Year's Eve around 8pm at Herman Flad World Champion Chuckwagon Driver Memorial Site. According to the lunar calendar, Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year, Spring Festival, or the first day of spring) falls on Monday, January 23 in 2012. The following photos were taken in County of Grande Prairie, Alberta.
