100 Flags International Heritage Festival is held in Grande Prairie during August long weekend. In year 2009, this event was organized by Grande Prairie Youth Emergency Shelter Society (Sunrise House) at Rock City Night Club on August 1 and at the amphitheater of Muskoseepi Park on August 2. Festivity includes Taste of Culture, Uganda Dance, Belly Dancing, Brazil Dance, and many others. I was a volunteer to help the set-up at Rock City Nightclub yesterday. Today I went to Muskoseepi Park to enjoy the outdoor performances with some delicious cultural dishes. :D The weather was very cooperating; it was sunny during the performances although the forecast predicted shower in late morning and early afternoon. I guess we were very lucky. I took the following pictures during the festival.
