Castle Mountain in Winter

Castle Mountain is located in Castle Junction at the intersection of Trans-Canada Highway 1 and Highway 93 South (Kootenay Hwy, Banff-Windermere Parkway). If you want to visit Radium Hot Springs, this is where you get off Trans-Canada Hwy and turn west to Kootenay Hwy.

Pocahontas Cabins in Winter

Pocahontas Cabins is open during winter. The hotel offers log cabin style of accommodation as well as motel. Behind the hotel is the road to Miette Hot Springs; the road is closed if covered with snow and reopens when snow is gone (usually April-May). Miette Hot Springs in the the wild Fiddle valley is an outdoor hot tub with natural hot springs water flowing from the mountain at 54°C (129°F), then cooled to a comfortable temperature of 40°C (104°F) as the water enters the hot springs pool.
