Deer Lodge is one of the two hotels by the lakeshore of Lake Louise. The other one is Fairmont Chateau Hotel Lake Louise. I like Deer Lodge because it has a roof-top outdoor hot tub with amazing mountain scenery and captivating view of Victoria Glacier. The steamy hot tub is especially awesome when piles of winter snow lie around the pool. Deer Lodge doesn’t have a direct lake view, though. If you’re in Banff instead of Lake Louise, Hidden Ridge Resort is probably your best choice for outdoor hot tub. :D
Deer Lodge offers discounts during off-season, such as February; however, the winter scenery is not less breathtaking than the summer! For example, I booked a room with double twins for $136 with bed & breakfast package. The breakfast was not the regular cold continental breafast. The hot breakfast included juice, coffee, toasts, eggs, games meats, sausages, etc. The outdoor roof-top hot tub is free to use for all guests.
