On my way to a seminar, I had to stop to let this flying combine pass through…. OMG?!?! ò.ó
This is one of the first combines used for harvest in Grande Prairie. Massey 21 Combine, purchased 1941 $2200, followed the wartime harvest brigade, worked this farm 17 years, and was operated by 3 generations of bacons.
Direction to GP Flying Combine
The combine is located next to highway but it’s often missed by passing vehicles. To get to the combine from downtown Grande Prairie, dirve north on 100 St till Highway 43. Then travel east on Highway 43 till you get to Range Road 53, and then turn south (or right) onto Range Road 53. You will see the combine immediately afterwards.
Exact location of GP combine is indicated by Green Arrow on the following map (click EXTERNAL LINK below to view map).
