Montrose Cultural Centre is located on the corner of 98 Street and 103 Avenue, Grande Prairie. This piece of land has a rich history. Since 1910, this land has been known as “Montrose” given by a Scottish settler Agnes Forbes who used to live in Montrose, Scotland. This site was previously occupied by Grande Prairie High School and Montrose Junior High School. Now it’s home to Prairie Art Gallery, Grande Prairie Public Library, Rotary Community Room, Teresa Sargent Hall, and Esquires Coffee House. Apparently, Teresa Sargent Hall can provide up to 250 seats for wedding reception and other banquet functions. Food cartering service is available through Esquires Coffeehouse.
