Horsetail Falls is one of the numerous waterfalls in Multnomah Falls hiking trail loop system along Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. No hiking is required to see this waterfalls, since it’s next to the parking lot. However, the same trail leads to three other waterfalls upstream at various hiking distances: Upper Horsetail Falls (Ponytail Falls), Oneonta Falls, and Triple Falls. Hiking Trail Map & Driving Direction
Traveling east on Columbia River Interstate Highway 84 from Portland, take Exit 28. At the furcation, continue east along Historic Columbia River Highway to Horsetail Falls Parking Lot. On your way to Horsetail Falls, you’ll pass by Multnomah Falls and Multnomah Falls Lodge.
