Jasper Tramway is the highest and longest aerial tramway located in Canada. It was built in 1964 and goes to a height of 2,277m (7,472ft) above sea level. It is a ten minute drive from Jasper townsite to the tramway’s lower terminal, and its upper terminal is located on the crest of Whistlers Mountain. Once on top, there are numerous hiking trails along the Whistlers Ridge, offering panoramic views of Jasper townsite, sightings of alpine flowers and wild animals, as well as magnificent mountain ranges of Canadian Rockies. On a clear day, visitors can see as far as Mount Robson in British Columbia—the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. Also in Jasper Tramway’s upper terminal is the Treeline Restaurant—a café style restaurant that offers a unique ride’n dine experience with early bird breakfast special and dinner special touring packages. There could be online promo code or coupon for admissions ticket discounts to tramway rides.
