Lake Louise Summer Gondola Reviews
Lake Louise Gondola operates only in summer and fall seasons. In winter, Lake Louise Gondola is actually one of the ski lifts in Lake Louise Ski Area. For skiiers, the gondola may be redundant because they’ve already seen the amazing aerial view of winterized Lake Louise. The ski lift pass includes the gondola rides for as many times as they want, as long as they’re not tired of skiing. For non-skiiers, visitors will have to buy gondola tickets whcih are valid only for ONE RIDE or SINGLE USE. It is relatively more expensive, in terms of the number of rides allowed.
Anyway, if you decide to take a summer gondola ride in Lake Louise Ski Area Mountain Resort, you’ll be better off to buy a combo Ride’n Dine ticket which includes a buffet meal and gondola ride. The ride itself is $26.75. If lunch is included, the price is only $33.25. A difference of $6.50 gives you an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT lunch buffet with a variety of soups/hot foods/desserts/drinks in this world famous tourist destination. A Sweet Deal?!?! ò.ó
I’m not sure if there is any other discount for Lake Louise Gondola. Promo code, anyone?
In winter, you can still take Lake Louise gondola rides, but the combo Ride’n Dine package isn’t offered. :-( I’m sure cold winter can make people hungry fast and eat lots!
For winter gondola in Banff National Park, you may want to check out the Banff Gondola Ride’n Dine combo package instead.
Lake Louise Summer Gondola Tips
There are two kinds of lifts: closed cart and open chair. To maximize the scenery viewing opportunity, try the closed cart on your way up so that you can turn around and take pictures. Take the open chair on your way down for a different experience and take photos of beautiful Lake Louise with gentle breeze padding on your face. :D
