Mid-Autumn Festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month (八月十五) in the Chinese calendar, which is usually around mid or late September in the Gregorian calendar. In 2009, Mid-Autumn Festival falls on October 3.
There are four major celebrations in the Chinese calendar with one in each season.
1. 《春節》Spring Festival / Chinese New Year (January 1)
2.《端午節》Summer Solstice Festival / Dragon Boat Festival / Duanwu Festival (May 5)
3.《中秋節》Mid-Autumn Festival (August 15)
4.《冬至》Winter Solstice Festival (December 21)
