Mount Hood, called Wy’east by the Multnomah tribe, is a stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc of northern Oregon. It’s one of the most photographed mountain peaks in Oregon. Mount Hood is often seen in the background of Portland city skyline, as opposed to Mount Rainier in Seattle skyline.
