Lansdowne Shopping Mall & Aberdeen Centre in Richmond BC Canada
These pictures were taken on Dec 24, 2005—Christmas Eve at Lansdowne Mall located at No 3 Road and Alderbridge Way. The mall was pretty close to my home. 5 minutes by car? I went there with my two little nephews. They liked to ride on the toy train, carousel horses (merry go rounds), and cars. Whenever they see those kinds of stuff, they won’t leave the mall until they take a ride. During lunch at the mall, their eyes kept staring at those trains and carousel horses. Very cute. 
There were a lot of shoppers in Lansdowne Mall. When I came to Canada in 1992, I thought this mall would be closed down one day because there wasn’t much traffic. At that time, it was super easy to find a parking space since the mall has a big parking lot. Eaton used to be in the mall, but was closed down several years ago and later replaced by Zellers. Ever since Future Shop opens in the mall, the traffic starts to grow. Last year, Saftway was closed down due to fierce competition from nearby Superstore and Save-On-Foods and was replaced by Best Buy. With Best Buy, Future Shop, and Zellers, the mall suddenly becomes so busy that it’s getting harder to find a parking space. The inner skirt of the parking lot is often full, so you may have to go to the outer skirt. The cafeteria used to have only two or three people here and there, and now it’s crowded with people! City of Richmond is definitely prospering. Probably due to Winter Olympic 2010 effect?

There used to be a store in your mall which sold towels and embroydered
your name on them.
Does it still exist in your mall?
If yes, please tell me where, I dont remember where it was in the mall
and can’t find it.
