Branding Party at Airdrie, Alberta, Canada
This Friday night I went together with my med friends to attend a Branding Party this Saturday. The branding party was held at a medical friend’s home at Airdrie—a small town north of Calgary, Alberta. So, what’s a branding party? I’ve never been to one before. This was my first time, and surely one of my med friends called me a “City Boy.”
Well, what else can I say? I can’t say I’m a cowboy or country boy.
Basically branding is an event where a hot iron with letters is imprinted on a calf’s body. These letters indicate that those cows belong to a certain farm, and thus represent “a brand” specific to that farm.
Below are some pictures taken during branding party.
