La Crete: UAlberta Dentistry North Rotation
Today is the first day we (Susanna, Thomas, Claire, and me) arrive at La Crete, south east of High Level. We flew to High Level by Central Mountain Air on May 21. Yesterday (May 22) we started our first day rotation in High Level, even though it’s a public holiday. There was a good turn-out; most of the patients showed up. Today and tomorrow we’ll be in La Crete to provide dental service to this small community—a Mennonite community. Very exciting. All of us saw at least 4 patients today. Very busy. We got tired for sure. Oh yea, at La Crete, we stay in a brand new housing. Everything looks so new. Some furnitures even still have tags on them!!! When we put our first foot step into the house, we smell the “NEW HOUSE” smell. So sweet. 
Better yet, we have satellite TV. Plus…a high speed internet that is functional. The internet in High Level didn’t work still. So, tonight the first time I have internet. Sweet.
