Sam, the name
Today I came across Wikipedia about the name “Sam“. Sam can be “Samuel” for boy or “Samantha” for girl. That’s simple; everyone knows. Samuel comes from a hebrew word which means “name of God” or “heard by God“. That’s interesting. My god, “name of God“; isn’t it nice? ![]()
Of course, the well-known national icon (in USA of course), Uncle Sam. Actually I’m an Uncle Sam right now as my nephews call me.
Sam Gamgee. Anyone knows him? He’s a charactor in The Lord of the Rings. Really? ![]()
Other definitions:
Samuel = prophet and judge from the Old Testament who anointed Saul as king. Hmm…how powerful!
Samuel = a judge from the Old Testament during the time of the Philistines. Hmmm…maybe I should consider Law school instead of Dentistry. ![]()
Sam = the third son of Lehi in the Book of Mormon. Hmm…I’m not a mormon though. I don’t believe in any god (either Eastern or Western). I believe in myself. ![]()
