looks good, and scary, only 2 things
1. why is there a dorsal fin on the side of its legs/tail. it should be semmetrical.
2, whats with its nose (or lack there of) why doesn it need a nose hole if it has gills?

This is NOT real! Many things go against itself, just like the dorsal on one sid eof the tale. Looks more like a big fish was trying to eat something. If you keep closely you will see on its hips looks like a big mouth of a fish wide open. Beside, why would it have a nose?

first of all this looks like some one made this out of plaster the stuff dry wall workers use to put up dry wall or the stuff that body cast are made of when you brake a bone or something…. I never saw a mermaid so I can not say what they look like but obviously the name had to stemm from something…. however if people can grow a human ear on rats……well…..i guess anythings possible……..with the way the world is going today about ufo’s and aliens in the water ……….. i just dont put any thing pass the world today………so may be and maybe not….. just because it dont measure up to the appearance of the fantasy mermaids we believe….. who’s to say this is not so……

First off, It looks fake, look at the “tail” , why is there a fin on its side?
second, If you look at the last picture , it looks like a giant fish’s mouth ate it.
Third, All fish are colorfull, why is this one white!!
It’s a complete fake, a man made thing! It looks like dry wall or something. In the fifth picture, on the shoulder it looks like finger prints or something. Its a ugly man made sculpture, if there are really mermaids out there, I’m sure they wouldn’t look like this, and if they do we should all be afraid, lol

It is so fake. the tail looks real (limits to that) the rest is fake.
1. there’s no nose or nose flaps. There has to be something to cover the opening into the head.
2. the gums of the “mermaid” are red. if the “mermaid” is dead then the gums should be a pale pink or white, not red.
3. the upper arms are way too thin. there has to be some sort of arm muscle if they are constantly swimming there should be at least SOME arm mass.
4. the eyes havent deteriorated in the least, unless saltwater slows the process. even though the photos might not show it the “mermaid” should have a third eyelid like most aquatic creatures.
5. i would also like to agree with Skeptical about one thing: what is with the tail. ther is no dorsal fin and the side fins are assymmetrical. they need to be symmetrical so that the creature could swim properly.
this is a complete and total FAKE!!!

Listen i can tell you that it is not real. there is about Umm… 4 different ways i can show you. the 1st … is that it is way to pale, 2nd… the eyes are not decomposed,3rd…the way it is layed out,4th…you can see where they connected the lines to make it. if thats not clear enough then you need help.

Hey Guys I have been tryin’ to search the truth about real creatures whether they exists or not and there are some that I have seen and have not seen and some I may have to believe because in life there are wierd evidences and paranormals out there that are hiding and what doesn’t freaks me out is that whatever I see real in real photos or video cameras really doesn’t matter to me excepts I do feel strongly to see anything that is real. Okay everyone. I have some theories that should make most of you happy.

Yes its fake. It is deffinatly plaster. The teeth are too big for the mouth. The eyes are far too small. It should have thin slits for nostrals if any. The tail is all wrong and so are the arms.
BUT! It wouldnt have eyelids being part fish. It wouldnt have hair because that would cause drag. It may not have color because if it reall is from that deep, it wouldnt need it. (course it wouldnt survive the asent anyway). yadda yadda yadda… glad to be of service.
Perhaps it is the artests rendering of something he has seen???
