On Sunday, January 28, 2007, dental hygiene students (Brittany & Seema) and I decided to have a trip to Peace River, Alberta, Canada. Kevin decided not to go. He wanted to do his laundry, lab work, and grocery shopping. He should have come with us, because I found foods are cheaper in Peace River than in McLennan.

Peace River — the Land of Twelve-Foot Davis. It’s about 45min drive from the Town of McLennan.

Peace Garden Restaurant, a Chinese & Cantonese restaurant in Peace River. Lots of decorations. A huge fish tank with lots of gold fish, in the center of the restaurant.

Chinese foods we ordered (from left to right): Chicken Chow Mei, Lemon Chicken, Ding Dong Beef (very funny dish name ), and Chicken Fried Frice. After the dinner, the dental hygiene students (Brittany & Seema) played Scratch & Win. Thereafter, we went back to McLennan. Oh, yea, almost forget this one: at the end of the dinner, we were given 3 fortune cookies. While Brittany and I enjoyed reading the secret message inside the cookies, Seema’s fortune cookie was empty! Then I asked the waitress to get another one for her. Wait…is that for Kevin?

On the way home, we passed by Nampa, Alberta, Canada—a 15min drive south of Peace River. It has a population size of less than 400 people.
