Pacific Dental Conference—the largest international dental conference in Western Canada—is held each March in Vancouver Convention Centre.
I took some pictures there. It was cold but at least sunny.
Pacific Dental Conference at Vancouver Convention Centre
Vancouver Convention Centre, viewed from Pan Pacific Hotel, was still under construction as you can see in the photo. The convention centre will be used as a news conference centre and medal ceremony podium during Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. All news reporting and broadcasting will be transmitted from here to the rest of the world. Vancouver 2010 will be held February 12 to 28 for Winter Olympic Games and March 12 to 21 for Winter Paralympic Games. As such, Pacific Dental Conference will be held in April next year due to the games.
This photo was taken at the tip (front) of the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel. You can see Stanley Park, the Lighthouse, Lions Gate Bridge, North Vancouver District, and the two lions near Cypress Mountain. I took this photo because a Hyundai ship was sailing by.
I was hoping to see an Alaska tourism ferry, but it turned out to be that Hyundai ship. Still worthwhile.
