Who says dent school is easier than med? 10 Final Exams!!

OMG, this semester is yet the worst term in dental school. I thought this past summer semester was pretty bad enough where we had 6 written final exams plus quizzes from time to time. I guess the worst is yet to come. This semester, we have eight written final exams, only one of which is MCQ (multiple choice exam). :o The other 7 are written exams. Plus 1 competency exam and 1 lab exam. OMG, 10 exams in total. :o When I had my medical courses with med students during my first 2 years of dentistry, the exams were all multiple-choiced exams and ONLY ONE exam at a time. Compared to dentistry, medicine is easy as a piece of cake.

If any of my patients cancel their appointments, I’ll grant their wishes without hesitation!!! Simply not enough time to study… :(

Most of us like to try out the bed and see how comfortable it is during mattress shopping, even though we don’t really want to buy the mattress. :) It’s very tempting, especially if the mattress is a unique, special type in comparison to the rest in the furniture store. “Kiss of Death,” an old dental saying from our endodontics instructor, Dr. Donald Yu, when the root canal is blocked and thus failed during root canal treatment. But…this time, it’s not about the root canal in dentistry. It’s about the blockade of the respiratory tract due to anaphylatic shock. Even worse, it’s from a real kiss—a very sad story.

Match Magic with Coin from Japanese Magician Cyril Takayama

Just like previously, Cyril Takayama performs magics with the audience standing immediately beside him in all directions (front, back, right and left). Still nobody can detect how he does the tricks. It’s so mysterious and yet it’s that mystery that attracts the audience back and back again, especially the one who actually holds the magic prop. I wish I can experience the magic with Cyril Takayama by actually touching and scrutinizing the equipment he uses. Maybe I’ll discover how he does the trick. Heheee…. :d BTW, anyone knows his tricks.
