On Tuesday, May 30, 2006, we were once again heading to La Crete. And so, we had to get up earlier than usual since the trip takes about 1 hour from High Level to La Crete. On the way, Susi, Thomas, and Claire fell asleep as usual. And me…being awake…taking pictures of their sleeping. Heheee…. Thomas and Susi are the dentistry students from Dresden University in Germany.

May 30 was Sam’s birthday, and somehow everyone knew about it! Even the German exchange students (Susi & Thomas) knew about it. That night, Dr. McNab took us to La Crete Country Grill and treated us for dinner. Sweet.

Here came Sam’s birthday cake—a chocolate pie. It was a surprise to me. All of a sudden, a La Crete girl walked to me and gave me a chocolate pie, and everyone started singing the birthday song to me. Oh…gees…my face must have flushed red at that moment. It was a happy birthday for me, especially it was in La Crete. Thank you, Dr. McNab.

After the birthday party, we went grocery shopping at Super Foods.

And…of course…Thomas, the Geil Arschkrampe, spotted his favourite stuff. Certainly, as we could see, it was bigger and longer than the last time.

Have you ever seen fish with human teeth? Not me. This is my first time. Instead of being pointy and spaced out, the teeth are squared with rounded corners standing in a row, just like human teeth. According to experts, the fish is seen first time in Texas. However, fish with human-like teeth is well documented in South America and is known as Pacu. So…don’t be scared if you spot one human-tooth fish.

A fish caught in Lubbock, Texas, with teeth that look like they belong to a human has baffled wildlife officials in the area, according to a report.

Fisherman Scott Curry reeled in the 20-pound fish on Buffalo Springs Lake and immediately noticed the catch had human-like teeth.

A game warden photographed the fish and is attempting to identify it.

General Manager of Buffalo Springs Lake Greg Thornton told KLBK13-TV in Texas that he has never seen anything like the fish in the 36 years he has lived near the lake.

A search for what the fish may be suggested that it may be a pacu, which is found in South America.

Curry said he believes he saw another similar fish while on the lake.

A Texas television station reported that lake officials will give $100 to anyone catching a similar fish.

There’s something sneaky about PayPal.

Today I made two payments thru PayPal. The first one was around $380, and the second one around $35. I received the PayPal receipt for these two transactions, but there’s something sneaky about the two emails. The first email (the one with $380 payment) indicates that my postal address is unconfirmed, while the second email (the one with $35 payment) indicates that my address is confirmed!!!

Voila, sneaky, isn’t it? At first I thought my address is unconfirmed, but after reading those two receipt emails more closely, I start to doubt there’s something wrong. I’ve been using that particular credit card several times with PayPal since 2003, and there’s no reason my address is still NOT confirmed. I speculate that PayPal wants to avoid its Buyers Protection Policy!!!

I’ve informed PayPal today, and hopefully they’ll give me some good answers, otherwise this posting will stay as it is right now here till problems are solved.

Ok, I did a search on my previous transactions upto this February. This unconfirmed vs confirmed problem already existed!!! But…there is a trend: The higher the amout for the transaction, the LESS likelihood that the address is confirmed. This seems to prove my observation.

For amount < $30, the address is virtually all confirmed.
For amount > $30, about 90% chance the address being unconfirmed !!
For amount > $100, the address is all unconfirmed !!!!!!!
