December 25, 2012: A ball of light on frozen Red River at Promenade Taché.

Tache Promenade is one of the popular places for viewing the Winnipeg city skyline. This self-interpretive walking trail stretches along Taché Avenue from the Provencher Bridge to the Norwood Bridge on the east banks of the Red River in St. Boniface. It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on October 6, 1984. With its amazing cityscape panoramic view of Downtown Winnipeg, it can be a great location for wedding / engagement photography. In winter, when the Red River is frozen, it’s possible to walk down Promenade Tache onto the river, like I did. :D
