September 22, 2012: Quality Creek Uppermost Falls
Quality Creek has upper and lower falls. The uppermost falls can be assessed from Quality Creek Falls Hiking Trail (short and easy), while the lower falls can be assessed from Quality Canyon Hiking Trail (long and difficult). The upper falls looks more amazing, and at low water season hikers can walk all the way to the base of the waterfalls and stand beneath it. :D
September 22, 2012: Rocks in the area are sandstones and shales of the upper Cretaceus, Fort Saint John group. These rocks are million years old. The shales are softer and more easily eroded than the sandstones. When Quality Creek eroded through the rocks the sandstone bands resisted and formed the lip and base of the falls. This is the uppermost and smallest of four falls on Quality Creek as it drops to the Murray River.
September 22, 2012: Standing at the base of Quality Falls. Very close to town, this picturesque veil of water tumbling into a shallow creek is a great destination for a picnic and a quick dip on a hot summer day. Fine tendrils of water pour over the eroded limestone that gives Quality Falls its distinctive appearance.
September 22, 2012: The hiking trail to this falls is very short. It's a great location for engagement photos, wedding photography, portrait shots, and family group pictures.
September 22, 2012: simply amazing and breathtaking when standing underneath the falls :D
September 22, 2012: Standing next to the waterfalls.
