July 9, 2012: Ramona Falls in summer
Ramona Falls is a jewel in Pacific Northwest Forest, drawing hundreds of visitors each year. The waterfalls is located in Mount Hood National Forest, about 62 miles (100 km) east of Portland, Oregon. The trail is popular and heavily used.

July 9, 2012: After hiking eastward one mile from parking lot, you will encounter this foot bridge over Sandy River. Mt Hood can be seen in the background.

Map & Driving Direction
Exact location of Ramona Falls Trailhead / Parking Lot is indicated by Green Arrow on the following map.
Driving from Portland, follow Mt Hood Highway 26 to village Zigzag. Turn north/left onto Lolo Pass Road (National Forest Road 18) for 4.2 miles. At the furcation, keep right onto Muddy Fork Road (National Forest Road 1825) for 0.7 mile, turn right sharply to cross a bridge, and then continue 1.7 miles to a road junction. Keep left at the junction onto Forest Road 1825-100 and drive 0.3 mile. Take a left turn to Forest Road 1825-024 to a large open parking lot (0.2 mile). All national forest roads mentioned above are paved roads.
