I decided to go to HR MacMillan Space Centre in Vanier Park next to Burrad Bridge and nearby Granville Island to photoshoot fireworks. I found out it’s very difficult to include the Giant Crab Fountain with the fireworks, which tend to be too low most of the time and partially blocked by the space centre building. I wonder if there is another good spot nearby to include fireworks and the space centre’s giant crab together.

Exif DataCamera: Canon 60D and EF-S 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 IS Lens HSBC Celebration of Light (formerly known as Benson & Hedges Symphony of Fire) is an annual musical fireworks competition in Vancouver, British Columbia. This multi-day event is held around August Long Weekend and draws hundreds of thousands of spectators each day gathering around English Bay. Each firework lasts for at least 30 minutes and displays in concert with music. The fireworks shoot directly from water on English Bay. Every year, three or four different countries partipate in this international competition. The first “Symphony of Fire” was held from July 25 to August 5 of 1990. The celebration is one of Vancouver’s largest and most well known festivals. The following fireworks photos are from Team China.
