Grande Prairie Total Lunar Eclipse
Depending on where you live, the total lunar eclipse takes place on either December 10 or December 11 during twilight hours. The following total lunar eclipse photos were taken at Grande Prairie Centre 2000 at dawn prior to sunrise on December 10, 2011 around 7:30am. The moon turned orange red as it progressed through the eclipse. :D Actually the full moon disappeared completely for about 2 minutes without any trace of orange red colour during total eclipse.
December 10, 2011: Twilight's Eclipse behind Centre 2000 Sundial :D It was a cold morning with strong wind, making it difficult to take long-exposure photos.
December 10, 2011: A total lunar eclipse was observed at Centre 2000 Millenium Sundial in Grande Prairie Muskoseepi Park during twilight hours. Very cold with wind blowing directly to my face through the circular window of the sundial.
