Danyl Johnson, a 27-year-old teacher (from Reading, Berkshire) has a passion for singing and manages to completely own the stage in an incredible first audition!
Danyl Johnson sings The Beatles classic ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’ and soon gets the audience swaying in unison with his passionate performance. He grins and winks at Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue. 
He is a natural performer, uses the entire stage as his singing platform, runs to left, walks to right, and sits in front of the judges.
At the end of his performance, his on-stage charisma received a standing ovation from Simon first!!! 
Simon said, “We’ve been doing this…how many years? Eight, nine years. Danyl, that was single-handedly the BEST FIRST audition I’ve ever heard!” 
That is an incredible remark from Simon.

Original name: Danyl McCubbin (Danyl changed his name to Johnson from McCubbin while in his late teens because he thought it was a better stage name for a singer.)
This is not the first time Danyl enters the audition. In 2006 Danyl failed to make it past the early stages and never even got to sing before the judges. A friend said: “He performed solo in front of some of the producers but just didn’t choose the right song on the day.”
He has no recording contract but appeared with rock band Empty Spaces on the Channel 4 show Orange Unsigned Act and sang with boyband Street Level until 2006
