Whitecroft Waterfalls, so named in this tiny Hamlet Whitecroft next to Sun Peaks Village, is a hidden treasure in Canadian Rockies. This attraction is easily accessible with a very flat hiking distance of mere 500m or so, and yet not many people visit this waterfall. Indeed, Sun Peaks Resort is well known for its winter activities rather than summer festival, and the hiking trail is only accessible in summer. If you do have a chance to visit Sun Peaks in summer, don’t forget to try this secluded moss-covered hiking trail that takes you all the way to the base of the falls!!! A great location for wedding photography, self portrait, and family group photo alike. Read below for map and driving direction.
I think the creek running through this waterfalls is called Heffley Creek. Not sure….
Exact location of Whitecroft Waterfalls Hiking Trailhead is indicated by Red Pin on the following map (click EXTERNAL LINK below to view map). The entrance is marked by a metal fence with tall grass; no trail sign or map at that entrance.
