Winnie the Bear Statue

Lt. Harry Colebourn and Winnie the Bear statue, crafted by artist William Epp, was donated by the Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg and unveiled on August 6, 1992. Once housed in the Kinsmen Discovery Centre inside the Assiniboine Park Zoo, the commemorative statue is now located inside the Nature Playground on the west side of the Assiniboine Park Pavilion, to make it more accessible to the public. A collection of Winnie the Pooh paintings, artifacts, and memorabilia is located at Assiniboine Park Pavilion Gallery Museum.
